Proposal: a quiet room during exam weeks
To: The Principal From: The Student Association Subject: Setting up a quiet room in the library during exam weeks Many S.5 and S.6 students have nowhere calm to revise after school. The canteen is noisy, and the library’s discussion zone is often full. We propose converting the small conference room next to the library into a silent study room from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays in the two weeks before examinations. Prefects could take 45-minute shifts at the door. No extra furniture is needed — only a sign and a simple booking sheet at the counter. If the trial works this term, the room could open again before the mock exams. We are ready to draft the duty roster this Friday. We hope you will consider this small change. It would give students a place to think without headphones at full volume.
